About Lucas
Hello!
My name is Lucas, and as you will come to find, I thoroughly enjoy creating music and sound design. From being a guitarist in my early teens, to now composing for various forms of visual media, I have garnered a unique workflow and tone that has found it’s way into the hearts of various creative projects. Working on films, tv, animations and live dance performances has enabled me to bring characters and worlds to life in a way that only music can. My style is not defined within genres, but more-so by my approach to tonal and timbre experimentation. Exploring unique textures of instruments is the driving focus of most my work. Combining this with a passion for song arrangement and sonic clarity, you have yourself a Lucas composition. Having graduated as a sound engineer, I also work as a sound-designer. From effects to foley, I use silence as a canvas to intricately build soundscapes.
Simply put, I love bringing ideas to life through audio.
I also teach guitar, ukulele and banjo in both the upper and lower Blue Mountains. My focus as a teacher is to build off the preferred learning methods of each individual student, allowing them to enhance their musical ability in an enjoyable and empowering way.
